this is a first edition of this early bitters book from back in the heyday of bottle collecting. Now Bitters bottles are one of the hotter categories of antique bottles.
104 Pages. 5 1/2" x 6 1/4". B&W photos, price guide,index and bibliography. Brief descriptions. There are many more varieties discovered after this was written but its a bit of interesting history.
Dedicated to Dr. Burton Spiller, an influential bottle collector from Rochester NY.
condition is fair with staining to the soft paper covers and the title page has a hole in it and a bookshop stamp as well as an owners signature. No other marks in text
