Ceramic Beads
Ceramic Beads are made from a dense white material that is heated in a kiln to high temperatures.
The beads are shaped by hand or with molds and carving tools.
They are then dried and fired to set the shape.
Finally they are painted or dipped in glaze which may contain minerals or metallic oxides to create unique colors.
The process is repeated as the beads need to be coated multiple times to achieve the desired richness of color.
Ceramic beads are very strong, non-porous & very durable.
They make an excellent choice for either spacer or focal beads in art work and jewelry.
